The legacy of TJ Kirk and his channel is one built on delivering quality content over quantity, entertaining the masses while offering a unique outlook, and butts. A lot of those.
TJ was born in Pasadena, California, though he was mostly raised in Mandeville, Louisiana, where he also currently resides. Towards the end of 2006 in November, an especially angsty TJ would grace the internet with his presence for the first time in recorded history.
During his first few years on YouTube as The Amazing Atheist, TJ gained a lot of traction for tearing into idiots of all flavours; feminists, religious wackjobs, anarchists, MRAs, and many more. His primary topic though was atheism, where he was the largest YouTuber to talk about the subject for many years in terms of subscriber count. While he still talks about much of the same type of issues as in the past, religion has taken the sidelines due to adaption with the current political scene.
2014 saw the creation of the Drunken Peasants (DP), a podcast made by TJ and his friend Ben. Not long after, they would be joined by regular host and brother to TJ, Scotty Kirk. The show has enjoyed success for over four years, even adding two new cast members in the form of PaulsEgo and Billy the Fridge.
The show primarily revolves around news, entertainment, and politics with a segment based format. Currently, the show airs Monday and Thursdays on YouTube.
Throughout the course of DP's history, TJ and his co-hosts have gotten into arguments with many people including; a flopping manatee, a talking kangaroo, a black guy who envisions TJ in tight corduroys, and a christian who doesn't believe in starving children to name just a few.
These days, TJ has changed his channel name to reflect his shift from atheism as a main topic. Although he continues to work on a number of side projects including Deep Fat Fried and Cinema for Cynics, his main channel continues to get the most attention.
The main topic of political discussion these days tends to revolve around Social Justice Warriors, which TJ does discuss, but also continues to challenge people with all different kinds of views to keep his content refreshing and honest to what he believes.
His primary video series is "TRIGGERED!". TJ also does semi-regular livestreams on his channel, "Abandon Hope".
